The Nehemiah Foundation

Pray

Prayer is so foundational that it can sometimes be neglected as we embark on community transformation projects and activities. Therefore, the Nehemiah team and champions have remained committed to building a way of life around the beautiful spiritual practice of “all kinds of prayer” as we seek to release God’s kingdom in Clark County and beyond.

We know that prioritizing prayer ensures that our very hearts and motivations are being shaped by God as we seek him on behalf of ourselves and others. As we pray WITH others, we can hear their heart and intentions and perhaps even accept that this brother or sister from another church background actually loves Jesus too! As we pray ALONE in solitude and silence, we seek freedom from selfish ambition and distractions, and we can allow Holy Spirit to guide our intercession for others.

Whether in a group, or alone, we are changed and then commissioned through prayer.

Through prayer, we are significantly more equipped to go out of our comfort zone and personal lives to press in to unifying efforts, equipping others, and launching into mature and loving mobilization.
